St Tropez - Joseph Le Quai
Summer 2008
Frank's view
'a good place to start or end the evening'
This bar, superbly positioned on the port, directly opposite the large ludicrous gin palaces, is the third addition to the increasing Joseph empire.
Whereas his neighbouring restaurant, Jospeh L’Escale, has white sand, the floor of Le Quai is covered with black.
Sit outside and join the zoo of ‘who’s watching who’.
Alternatively sit by the bar and you have a perfect view of everything which is happening before you, without a thousand eyes locked in your direction.
At €19 for a cocktail (excellent mojitas) and €10 for a beer, Joseph Le Quai is not cheap, but it does have some excellent live music and the Asian food is good, by St Tropez standards.
