Berlin - Concord Hotel

'Good value for business'

If you are looking for a good, inexpensive, business hotel in Berlin, this is it.

The Concord Hotel is a sleek, modern establishment, which opened in 2007.  The design is trendy minimalist, rather than comfortable .  The small bar and restaurant were overrun with conference delegates and business people.

The place to be is in an Executive room on the ‘Club Etoile’ floor.  The Club was quiet when I arrived at around 6pm.  The hostess offered me a drink whilst she checked me in. Champagne was her first recommendation but I chose a gin and tonic.  Unlimited drinks it seemed, on the house.

My room was large but, once again, furnished more for trendiness than comfort.  The hotel web site has accurate representative photographs of the rooms.

Breakfast in the Etoile Club offered a good selection of everything you would expect from a buffet.

The Concord Hotel was exceptional value at €210 per night for my Deluxe room including drinks and breakfast, but it’s not a place to take your wife or girlfriend.
